Terms of service

1. Scope of work

The tasks included in a visit are those on the published checklist for the service you book, plus any add-ons confirmed in your written quote. Anything not on the checklist or in the quote is outside the scope of the visit. We do not clean walls or ceilings beyond spot-cleaning, exterior windows, chandeliers or delicate art, or biohazards, and we do not move heavy furniture or work above a two-step ladder.

2. Quotes and pricing

Quotes are based on the information you provide about the home or space. If the condition on arrival is materially different from what was described, we will tell you before starting and agree any change with you. The price does not change on the day without your approval. Add-ons are priced per item and confirmed in advance.

3. Scheduling, cancellation, and lockouts

Reschedule or cancel free of charge with at least 24 hours notice. Cancellations inside 24 hours, or a visit where our team cannot access the property at the agreed time, incur a $60 fee because a housekeeper has lost most of a working day. Recurring plans may be paused or ended at any time with the same notice.

4. Arrival windows

We schedule visits in arrival windows and text when the housekeeper is on the way. Traffic and prior visits occasionally move arrival within the window. If we expect to be later than the window, we will tell you as early as we can.

5. Access and security

You are responsible for providing safe access to the property at the agreed time, whether in person or by key, lockbox, smart lock, or code. We treat access information as confidential and limit it to the team assigned to your home. Please tell us if an alarm is armed and how to disarm it.

6. Pets and people

Please secure any animal that may be anxious around new people or equipment. We are not responsible for pets that leave the property during a visit through a door or gate we were asked to use. Our housekeepers work best without supervision; you are welcome to be home, and we ask that children are supervised by an adult.

7. Payment

Payment is due after each visit by the card on file, or by invoice for commercial accounts on agreed terms. We do not take payment before the work is done. Gratuities are never required and go entirely to your housekeeper.

8. Guarantee

If any area on the checklist was not cleaned to standard, tell us within 24 hours of the visit and we will return to re-clean that area at no charge. The guarantee covers a re-clean; refunds are at our discretion except where the law requires them.

9. Damage

Our housekeepers are trained and careful, and we are insured. If something is damaged during a visit, we will tell you before you find it, and we will repair, replace, or credit it. Please report anything you discover within 24 hours. We are not responsible for damage from pre-existing wear, unstable or improperly mounted items, or surfaces that cannot tolerate normal cleaning. Please store cash, jewelry, and irreplaceable items before a visit. Our total liability for any visit is limited to the amount paid for that visit.

10. Our team

Our housekeepers are employees of Lux Signature Cleaning LLC. We ask that you do not hire them privately during, or for twelve months after, their employment with us. It protects the people we have trained and the consistency you rely on.

11. Photography

We photograph our work to maintain quality and, with your separate permission, to show on this website. We never publish anything that identifies a home or its owner. Tell us at any time if you prefer no photographs at all.

12. Website

Content on this website belongs to Lux Signature Cleaning LLC and may not be copied for commercial use. Information here is provided in good faith and may be updated without notice.

13. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California. Any dispute will be handled in the California county where the service was performed.
